The seventh generation Elf/N series was presented on March 7, 2023 in Japan, now with an EV version available, and marked the introduction of a rebadged sister model from UD Trucks named Kazet. In July 2024 a new 1.5-tonne version was presented, the Elf Mio, powered by a 1.9-litre turbodiesel and measuring under 4.7 m (185.0 in) long and 1.7 m (66.9 in) wide, so that it qualifies as a compact vehicle and can be driven on a regular licence (the automatic even without passing the manual transmission driving test in Japan); it is the direct successor of the Elf 100 (an OEM supply from Nissan, discontinued in early 2021). Current engines listed are the 1.9L RZ4E-TC turbo four-cylinder and the 5.2L 4HK1-TC turbo four-cylinder in diesel, and the 6.6L GM L8T V8 in gasoline; the page gives no power figures for this generation.

This generation of Elf lived a double life: an OEM deal had Nissan selling the identical truck as the Atlas and Diesel Condor.

This Elf generation launched a name still used today: it's the truck that first wore the Isuzu N-Series badge.

Three years into this generation, Isuzu sold its millionth Elf — proof the little truck had become a workhorse staple well beyond Japan.

The second-gen Elf's 'Hi-Roof' walk-through van let drivers move through the cargo box without stepping outside — a first for Japan's commercial trucks.

The Elf's 1960 diesel option was a first for its truck class in Japan, arriving just seven months after the gasoline-only launch.
