The first-generation Geely Boyue (NL-3), designed under Peter Horbury and launched independently under the Geely brand on 26 March 2016 (700,000 built in its first 36 months), was also sold as the Proton X70 (Malaysia, Brunei, Pakistan, South Africa, from 2018) and the Geely Emgrand X7 Sport in South America; a facelift followed in January 2018. Petrol engines were a 1.5-litre turbo three, a 1.8-litre turbo four, a 2.0-litre four and, for the Middle East, a 2.4-litre four, with 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic or 7-speed DCT (the page gives no power figure for any of these engines, so none is entered).
