FactWith the 2.0 TSI 4x4, the third Superb briefly became the fastest production Škoda ever built, hitting 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds.
The third-generation Superb, on the Volkswagen Group MQB platform shared with the Passat B8, Arteon, Tiguan Mk2, Kodiaq, SEAT Tarraco and Audi Q3 Mk2, was unveiled at the February 2015 Geneva Motor Show after the 2014 Vision C concept. It is larger than the B6, offered as a five-door liftback and estate (Combi), with dealer deliveries of the sedan from June 2015 and the wagon from September. The 2.0 TSI 4x4 (268 hp at launch) was then Škoda's fastest production car, 0–100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. It was a 2016 World Car of the Year finalist and What Car?'s best compact executive car and estate for 2016, Auto Express Family Car of the Year 2016 and, as the 2.0 TDI 150 SE L Estate, What Car? Estate Car of the Year in January 2021. The facelift was unveiled in Bratislava in May 2019 with matrix LED headlights and the first plug-in hybrid, the Superb iV (215 hp, up to 55 km electric range), plus a taller Superb Scout, on sale from early 2020.
