FactThis Pajero Sport's hill descent control was a first for Mitsubishi, debuting alongside a new off-road mode in Super-Select 4WD-II.
Mitsubishi unveiled the third-generation Pajero Sport in Thailand on 1 August 2015, the first Mitsubishi sold there with the Dynamic Shield face, with a Triton-like interior and the new 2.4-litre 4N15 MIVEC diesel. It offers Super-Select 4WD-II with a new off-road mode and hill descent control, a first for Mitsubishi. Engines are the 4N15 (and from 2024 the 4N16) diesel, the older 2.5-litre 4D56 and a 3.0-litre 6B31 V6 petrol with an eight-speed automatic. It is also sold as the Montero Sport, and from September 2026 the returning Pajero took over as Mitsubishi's flagship.

IIHS only crash-tests the driver's corner; tested on the passenger side instead, the CX-5 showed far worse intrusion.

Despite launching from a standing start in late 2025, the i60 topped GAC Aion's own sales chart through January's seasonal slowdown.

Every Defender before this one was body-on-frame — this generation broke decades of tradition with an aluminium unibody structure instead.

Crashed on the passenger side instead of the driver's, the 2014 Forester showed far more intrusion and would have rated Marginal with the IIHS.

Subaru built a 2.5XT for the National Ski Patrol with a diamond-plate floor, a 9,500-pound winch and a toboggan on the roof.
