The second-generation Lincoln MKX was shown as a concept at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show, revealed in production form at the 2015 North American International Auto Show and went on sale in the fall of 2015 as a 2016 model. Built at Oakville, Ontario, on the Ford CD4 platform shared with the second-generation Edge, it offered a 3.7 litre Cyclone V6 or a 2.7 litre EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 with a six-speed automatic. It was renamed Lincoln Nautilus for 2019.
