The 2007 Lincoln MKX debuted in December 2006 as a rebadged variant of the Ford Edge, built at Oakville, Ontario, on the Ford CD3 platform from 2006 to 2015. It had a chrome grille, projector headlights and optional adaptive headlights that pivoted with steering. The engine was a 3.5 litre Duratec V6 until 2010 and a 3.7 litre Duratec V6 from 2011, with a six-speed automatic and front- or all-wheel drive.
