The third-generation Grandeur, marketed as the Grandeur XG and in North America and Japan as the Hyundai XG (XG300, XG350), was the first developed entirely by Hyundai after two generations based on the Mitsubishi Debonair. It was built in Asan, South Korea, and Turkey from 1998 to 2005 with Delta and Sigma V6 engines from 2.0 to 3.5 litres. Its platform was later adapted for the Kia Opirus/Amanti.
