Hyundai unveiled the sixth-generation Grandeur (IG) on 27 October 2016 and built it in Asan until 2022, on the Y7 platform and, after the facelift, the N platform. It was not sold in North America because of the slow sales of the previous Azera. Engines ranged from 2.4 and 2.5-litre fours to 3.0, 3.3 and 3.5-litre V6s, with a 2.4 hybrid, an LPG V6 and a 2.2 diesel.
