The Kona N was released at Hyundai N Day on 27 April 2021 as Hyundai's first high-performance SUV from its N division. It uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged GDI engine whose maximum output holds from about 5,500 rpm, rising briefly in N Grin Shift mode. Outside it gets a front lip spoiler, a double-wing rear spoiler, side sill mouldings and an N-only triangular third brake light; inside, Performance Blue accents and faux suede seats.
