FactA French army truck descends from this Everest: the Arquus Trapper VT4 built its 4,000th unit in September 2022.
The second-generation Everest (U375/UA in Australia), previewed at a "Go Further" event in Sydney as a near-production concept in August 2013, shown at the Bangkok Motor Show in March 2014 and as a production version in November 2014 ahead of its Guangzhou debut, is based on the T6 Ranger and was developed by Ford Australia under American chief program engineer Todd Hoevener, built in Thailand (Rayong), China (Nanchang, by JMC-Ford), South Africa, India (Ford Endeavour, 2016–2021) and Cambodia. A complete redesign with rounder proportions, shorter but wider and taller than its predecessor, with the wheelbase reduced from 2,860 to 2,850 mm (112.2 in), it was facelifted in May 2018 with design tweaks, a new 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel and 10-speed automatic, Autonomous Emergency Braking and a kick-activated power liftgate, and again for the 2021 model year in November 2020. Production of the Endeavour in India ended on 9 September 2021 with the closure of all Ford manufacturing plants there. Engines: 2.0 and 2.3 L EcoBoost turbo petrol; 2.0 L EcoBlue turbo and twin-turbo, 2.2 L Duratorq turbo and 3.2 L Duratorq five-cylinder turbo diesels; 5-speed M5OD or 6-speed MT-82 manual and 5R55E, 6R80 or 10R80 automatic. The second-generation Everest is also the basis for the French military Arquus Trapper VT4 (4,000th built on 15 September 2022). Wheelbase 2,850 mm (112.2 in), length 4,893–4,903 mm, width 1,862–1,869 mm, height 1,836 mm (72.3 in). The page gives no power figures for any Everest engine.

Owning one
We don’t estimate running costs for a car like this. What it costs depends on its condition, its specialist and how it is driven, and an average would mislead.

The Middle East Tremor swaps in an F-150 engine: a 2.7-litre twin-turbo V6 making 310 horsepower, badge-exclusive to that region.

Ford's engineers deleted the centre differential entirely, using an electromechanical clutch pack so the Everest can run rear-drive-only on tarmac.

India sells this Everest as the Endeavour, a name change forced by a spice company that already owned Everest.

IIHS only crash-tests the driver's corner; tested on the passenger side instead, the CX-5 showed far worse intrusion.

Despite launching from a standing start in late 2025, the i60 topped GAC Aion's own sales chart through January's seasonal slowdown.

Every Defender before this one was body-on-frame — this generation broke decades of tradition with an aluminium unibody structure instead.

Crashed on the passenger side instead of the driver's, the 2014 Forester showed far more intrusion and would have rated Marginal with the IIHS.

Subaru built a 2.5XT for the National Ski Patrol with a diamond-plate floor, a 9,500-pound winch and a toboggan on the roof.

The L405 was the first Range Rover with a fully aluminum monocoque body, cutting up to 420 kg from the outgoing steel-bodied L322.

Rear passengers get a 17.3-inch screen that extends from the roof, and a lidar sensor sits in the front of the roof.

Its range-extender variant is rated for 1,200 km on a tank and charge, over three times the car's electric-only range.
