FactDacia's budget Logan is more Romanian than French on paper: Renault says 60% of this generation's design work happened at its Romanian engineering centre.
Revealed at the 2012 Paris Motor Show (photos released on 17 September 2012) on the Dacia M0 platform, sharing its front end with the second-generation Sandero; Dacia says 60% of the design work was done at Renault's engineering centre in Romania, under Erde Tungaa. Standard equipment includes a speed limiter, cruise control, rear parking sensors, front and side airbags, ABS and ESP, and a new Eco button limits revs to 4,000 rpm. Among the new features was the three-cylinder turbocharged 0.9-litre petrol with 90 hp (Start & Stop from August 2015), joined by the 1.2 16v (an LPG variant was dropped as it missed Euro 6) and a 1.5 diesel in two outputs; Euro 6 engines came at the end of 2014 and the Easy-R automated manual from the end of 2016. A 2,000-unit limited edition marked 10 years of the model in June 2014. It is also badged as the Renault Symbol and sold with a station wagon (MCV) body.
