FactThe 200 starred in Chrysler's Imported from Detroit Super Bowl ad because the pricier 300 was built in Ontario, Canada.
The first Chrysler 200 was a restyled, rebadged and re-engineered version of the third-generation Chrysler Sebring, built from 2010 to 2014 for the 2011–2014 model years as a sedan and convertible on the Mitsubishi-derived JS platform; it was sold in Europe as the Lancia Flavia. The 173 hp 2.4 litre four with four- or six-speed automatics carried over, and Chrysler's new 3.6 litre Pentastar V6 of 283 hp was added with a six-speed automatic.

Marchionne said the second 200 failed over a rear-seat entry FCA had copied from a Hyundai, and summed it up in one word: dummies.

This 200 generation quietly set three segment firsts at once — best-in-class V6 horsepower, a 0.27 drag coefficient, and the first dial-based gear shift in its class.
