The first-generation BMW 2 Series Active Tourer (F45) and seven-seat Gran Tourer (F46) are compact MPVs produced from 2014 to 2021 at Leipzig and Regensburg, and in China (F45 only). Built on the front-wheel-drive UKL2 platform shared with the X1 (F48), X2 and the Mini Countryman and Clubman, they used turbocharged three- and four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. A plug-in hybrid 225xe joined the range, and the Gran Tourer has a 2,780 mm wheelbase against the Active Tourer's 2,670 mm.
