The third-generation Q3 (FJ) was unveiled on 16 June 2025 and is built at Győr in Hungary from July 2025, with a long-wheelbase Q3L in China; the Q3 Sportback followed on 25 August 2025. It rides on the MQB Evo platform shared with the third-generation Volkswagen Tiguan and takes its design cues from the third-generation Q5, with the gear selector moved to the steering column. Launch engines were 1.5- and 2.0-litre turbo petrol fours, a 2.0-litre diesel and a 1.5-litre plug-in hybrid; only the 2.0 petrol offers all-wheel drive.

The RS Q3 came out of a Seat factory: every first-generation Q3 was built at Martorell, Spain, on the Golf-based PQ35 platform.

Audi's first Q3 was built mostly in Spain, on a SEAT production line, alongside parts shared with the VW Tiguan.
