Revealed on 12 November 2020 alongside the lower-spec, separate Express, on the all-new Renault-Nissan CMF-CD platform, with production starting late 2020 and sales early 2021 at Maubeuge. It was previewed by the Kangoo Z.E. concept of April 2019 (said to be 80% representative of the production car, with no pillar at the sliding door). Engines are a 1.3 turbo petrol (TCe 100 and 130, from Nissan) and the 1.5 Blue dCi (75, 95 and 115 PS with a 7-speed EDC), with a 6-speed manual, plus the Kangoo E-Tech Electric (introduced November 2021, in production June 2022, a 90 kW/245 N·m motor and 44 kWh battery good for 299 km WLTP). Nissan sells it as the Townstar and Mercedes-Benz as the Citan / T-Class / EQT. The 2024 update added Renault's latest logo.

We don’t estimate running costs for a car like this. What it costs depends on its condition, its specialist and how it is driven, and an average would mislead.

This Kangoo generation spawned the Be Bop, a quirky glass-roofed three-door spinoff that flopped so badly only 1,400 were ever built.

Renault didn't engineer this one alone: the 4x4 Kangoo Trekka's all-wheel-drive coupling was Nissan-sourced, quietly borrowed hardware under a van badged purely as a Renault.

Subaru's family-hauling Exiga got an unlikely STi treatment in 2009 — front spoiler, sport muffler, tighter suspension and a leather Momo wheel — but only 300 were ever built.

The Terraza was Buick's first-ever minivan for the North American market - a badge-engineered cousin of the Chevrolet Uplander, Pontiac Montana SV6, and Saturn Relay.

The restyled 1994 Lumina Minivan quietly made American automotive history: it was the first minivan sold in the US with a power sliding door you could open by remote.

The first-generation Lumina APV minivan was nicknamed the "Dustbuster" by the press for its sharply sloped windshield, which pushed the dashboard far forward of the driver.

Its steeply sloped windshield gave the Lumina APV one of the deepest dashboards ever fitted to a mass-produced car.

The first Presage wasn't really its own car underneath — most of its parts came straight from the Nissan R'nessa, with more shared with its platform twin, the Bassara.
