The Ariya Nismo was introduced on 12 January 2024 at the Tokyo Auto Salon as the performance version of the Ariya, with e-4ORCE all-wheel drive standard in Japan. The Japanese market gets two grades: the B6 with a 66 kWh battery and 362 hp, and the B9 with a 91 kWh battery and 429 hp. Like other Nismo models it gets revised bumpers with a front splitter, side skirts, a tailgate spoiler and red pinstripes. It launched in Europe in July 2024, reviving the Nismo name there for the first time since the 370Z Nismo ended in 2019.
