The Grecale (Tipo M182) is a compact luxury crossover built at Maserati's Cassino plant since March 2022, sharing the Giorgio platform with the Alfa Romeo Stelvio and the Jeep Grand Cherokee and named after the Mediterranean Gregale wind. It sits below the Levante and was announced alongside the MC20 in 2020. It is offered with 2.0-litre mild-hybrid fours (GT and Modena), a V6 Modena for North America from 2026, and the battery electric Folgore with a 105 kWh battery. The V6 Trofeo is a separate model.

This Maserati is named after the weather, not a place or a person — Grecale comes straight from Gregale, the Mediterranean wind.

The range-topping Grecale Trofeo borrows its heart from a supercar: its 530-hp twin-turbo V6 is a detuned version of the Nettuno engine Maserati built for the MC20.

The Grecale shares its Giorgio platform with the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, and its Trofeo version is the one fitted with a 530 PS V6.
