The Thema (Type 834) was Lancia's executive car from 1984 to 1994, one of four cars on the Type Four platform with the Alfa Romeo 164, Fiat Croma and Saab 9000. First shown at the 1984 Turin Motor Show, it came as a Giugiaro-designed saloon and a station wagon designed and built by Pininfarina. Engines were Lampredi-derived 2.0-litre fours, naturally aspirated or turbocharged, a 2.8 PRV V6 replaced in 1992 by a 3.0 Alfa Romeo V6, and turbodiesels; the Ferrari-engined 8·32 is listed separately.
