The second K9 (RJ), sold as the K900 in most export markets, debuted at the March 2018 New York International Auto Show and was built in Gwangmyeong until 2026 on the Hyundai M2 platform shared with the Genesis G90 and G80. It is longer and wider than before with a wheelbase about 60 mm longer, an eight-speed automatic and, in Korea, an all-wheel-drive option. A facelift followed in 2021.
