FactKia skipped the 2026 model year entirely so the new Telluride would launch as a 2027.
The second-generation Telluride (model code LQ2) was revealed online on 10 November 2025 and debuted at the LA Auto Show ten days later, for the 2027 model year; the 2026 model year was skipped. It is built in West Point, Georgia, and is related to the Hyundai Palisade (LX3). The 3.8-litre V6 is replaced by a 2.5-litre turbocharged four, alongside a 2.5-litre turbo hybrid, the first Kia hybrid assembled in the United States. The first one rolled off the line on 24 February 2026.
