The third-generation Jeep Compass was unveiled on May 5, 2025 and is built at Melfi, Italy on Stellantis' STLA Medium platform, shared with the Peugeot 3008 and Opel Grandland. It is the first Jeep offered with mild-hybrid, plug-in hybrid and battery-electric powertrains: in Europe a 1.2-litre turbo three-cylinder mild hybrid, a 1.6-litre turbo plug-in hybrid and an electric version with a 73.7 kWh battery. It was designed in Turin and has a 10-inch instrument cluster and a 16-inch touchscreen. North American production was announced for Belvidere, Illinois, starting in December 2027 for the 2028 model year.

This Compass is built in Ranjangaon, India — Jeep's first vehicle assembled there since 1996 — and the right-hand-drive version is made nowhere else.

The first Jeep Compass rolled off a line that used to build Dodge Neons — Belvidere, Illinois switched from compact sedans to Jeep’s first crossover in 2006.
