The Hongqi H5, positioned under the H7 full-size luxury car, was previewed as a concept at the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show and debuted in production that year at Guangzhou, replacing the Bestune B90; it shares its platform with the third-generation Mazda 6/Atenza built by FAW-Mazda. The 2018 model year offered only a 1.8-litre turbo four making 178 hp (180 PS) and 184 lb-ft through a 6-speed automatic; for 2020 that engine gained a 48V mild-hybrid system for 197 hp (200 PS) and 236 lb-ft, alongside a new 1.5-litre turbo at 169 hp (171 PS) and 190 lb-ft through a 7-speed DCT. A second generation with H9-derived styling followed in 2022. Front-wheel drive; wheelbase 2,875 mm (113.2 in), length 4,945 mm (194.7 in), width 1,845 mm (72.6 in), height 1,470 mm (57.9 in).

Nissan hired former BMW engineers to help develop the 510's suspension, which is why period reviewers frequently compared its handling to the BMW 1600/2002.

A Trabant 601 won its class at the 1970 Monte Carlo Rally, with a second 601 right behind it in second.

The G80 Sport brought a 370 PS twin-turbo 3.3 V6, a mesh grille and copper-tinted chrome with copper stitching to match.

This DeVille/Fleetwood was the first production car anywhere to mount its V8 sideways, Cadillac's front-drive gamble on the new C-body.
