The FPV F6, launched in 2004 on the Ford Falcon BA Mk II sedan and utility (sold as the Typhoon and Tornado respectively until the FG series dropped those names), used the turbocharged 4.0-litre inline-six Barra 270T making 270 kW (362 hp) at 5,250 rpm and 406 lb-ft between 2,000-4,000 rpm, at first only with a 6-speed Tremec T-56 manual and a bonnet scoop, 18-inch wheels, PBR 325 mm 2-piston brakes (Brembo optional); the 2005 BF series added a ZF 6HP26 6-speed automatic and 19-inch wheels, and a 300-unit limited 'R Spec' Typhoon followed in 2007.
