The Chery Tiggo 8, introduced in 2018 (production tooling from 2017) between the smaller Tiggo 7 and larger Tiggo 9, is a three-row mid-size crossover assembled across China, Brazil, Indonesia, Malaysia, Iran, Pakistan and Russia and sold under many badges abroad (DR 7.0 in Italy, Ebro S800 in Spain, Xcite X-Cross 8 in Russia). Petrol engines on the T1X platform range from a 1.5-litre turbo four at 154 hp through a 1.6-litre turbo at 194 hp (China) to 2.0-litre turbo fours at 241-251 hp, plus plug-in-hybrid variants at 342-493 hp combined; the more upmarket Tiggo 8 Plus/Pro variants followed from 2020. Front-engine, front-wheel or four-wheel drive; wheelbase 2,710 mm (106.7 in), length 4,700 mm (185.0 in), width 1,860 mm (73.2 in), height 1,746 mm (68.7 in).
