The BYD Sealion 05 (2025) is a compact SUV built by BYD in Xi'an since March 2025 for its Ocean Network in China, sold as a battery electric car on the rear-wheel-drive e-Platform 3.0 Evo and as a DM-i plug-in hybrid with a 1.5-litre Atkinson-cycle engine. The Sealion 05 EV launched on 25 March 2025 with three trim levels and a 50.05 or 60.93 kWh Blade battery. It succeeded the first Sealion 05 DM-i, and is a different car from the export BYD Sealion 5 (the Song Pro).
