The X7 (G07) is BMW's largest SUV and its flagship, a three-row full-size crossover built at Plant Spartanburg in South Carolina since December 2018 and on sale from March 2019. It is built on the CLAR platform of the G05 X5 but is taller, wider and longer, with standard third-row seating, xDrive all-wheel drive on every model and self-levelling air suspension. A facelift unveiled in April 2022 brought split headlights and mild-hybrid powertrains across the range. M50i, M60i and M50d versions are a separate M Performance model.

An estimate, for the xDrive30d trim: fuel on its EPA figure and a dated national price, upkeep on a per-mile average for the kind of car it is.

BMW once built an X7-based pickup truck concept — and swore it would never see a showroom.

BMW actually built a pickup-truck version of the X7 as a concept in 2019 — it was never meant for production, just to see what a three-row luxury SUV looks like with a bed.

The X7 is BMW's largest SUV and its second most expensive, with a third row that is standard and roomy enough for adults.
