The eighth-generation 3 Series, revealed 29/30 September 2026, brings BMW's Neue Klasse design language to the combustion-engined CLAR platform (the electric i3 sedan is mechanically unrelated, on its own Neue Klasse NAx platform, despite sharing the same generational family and dimensions closely). Entry trims 330 (RWD) and 330 xDrive (AWD) use a 2.0L turbocharged inline-four with 48V mild-hybrid assistance, 255 hp and 295 lb-ft, an 8-speed Steptronic automatic, 0-60 mph in 5.9 seconds and an electronically limited 155 mph top speed on sport tires. On sale Q1 2027 (330 from $49,900, 330 xDrive from $51,900, plus $1,350 destination). Production starts at Dingolfing in November 2026. The M350 xDrive performance model is filed separately as its own generation, matching this catalogue's rule that a halo/M-Performance trim is its own generation, never folded into the base car.
