The first Audi RS 3 was a high-performance derivative of the second-generation (8P) A3 Sportback, built in 2011–2012. Its turbocharged 2,480 cc five-cylinder engine with a vermicular-graphite cast-iron crankcase drove all four wheels through a seven-speed S tronic gearbox and the quattro on-demand system, and it rode 25 mm lower than the A3 on 19-inch wheels.
