FactVolvo calls the twin-motor EX30 Performance its fastest-accelerating car ever sold, in a vehicle smaller than every other Volvo.
The EX30 is a battery electric subcompact crossover revealed on 7 June 2023, the smallest Volvo on sale, positioned below the XC40 and C40. It is built in China (Zhangjiakou and Chengdu), in Ghent, Belgium and in Malaysia on Geely's SEA2 platform, related to the Zeekr X and Smart #1. It is offered with a single-motor LFP 51 kWh battery, a single-motor extended-range NMC 69 kWh battery, and a twin-motor Performance version that Volvo calls its fastest-accelerating car; a Cross Country followed in 2025.
