The Tera is a subcompact crossover built by Volkswagen since March 2025, mainly for Brazil, at Taubaté and at Kariega in South Africa, where it is sold as the Tengo. It replaces the Gol and shares the MQB A0 platform with the sixth-generation Polo and the Škoda Kylaq. Engines are a naturally aspirated 1.6-litre MSI four and 1.0-litre three-cylinders in naturally aspirated (MPI) and turbocharged (TSI) forms, with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic. It scored five stars from Latin NCAP in June 2025.
