FactUAZ pitched the Patriot to America in 2022 as the Bremach 4x4 SUV, then cancelled the import after Russia invaded Ukraine.
The UAZ Patriot (UAZ-3163) is a mid-size body-on-frame SUV built by UAZ (Sollers) in Ulyanovsk, introduced in 2005 to replace the UAZ Simbir (UAZ-3162), also sold as the UAZ Kazak (Colombia, Chile), Patrol (Mexico), Baijah Tulos (Germany, 2007-2012) and Bremach 4x4 SUV (United States; the 2022 import plan was cancelled after Russia's invasion of Ukraine). Large carrying capacity, off-road ability and an affordable price (under US$5,000) drove 12,011 sales in 2007; it seats five and carries about 200 kg. It got a restyle in May 2012, a Dymos electronic transfer case in August 2013 and a facelift in 2014 with new bumpers, headlights, seats and a new diesel turbocharger. The standard 2.7 L ZMZ-409.10 petrol inline-four (95.5 x 94 mm, 2,693 cc) makes 135 PS (133 bhp) at 4,600 rpm and 217 N·m (160 lb-ft) at 3,900 rpm, with a maximum speed of 150 km/h (93 mph), 210 mm ground clearance and an equipped weight of 2,070 kg (4,560 lb); the Patriot Diesel (UAZ-31631, now 31638) has the 2.3 L IVECO F1A 116 hp turbodiesel (Euro 3, 145 km/h (90 mph)), replaced from 2012 by the ZMZ-51432. Variants include the Cargo and Pickup (2008), the shorter Patriot Sport (2010, discontinued) and the Profi (2017). Length 4,647 mm (183.0 in), width 2,080 mm (81.9 in), height 1,900 mm (74.8 in).

Owning one
We don’t estimate running costs for a car like this. What it costs depends on its condition, its specialist and how it is driven, and an average would mislead.
