FactSubaru's take on the bZ4X is 140mm longer for more cargo room, but skips Toyota's front-wheel-drive option entirely in North America.
The Subaru Trailseeker, sold as the E-Outback in Europe and Singapore, is Subaru's version of the lengthened bZ4X Touring / bZ Woodland, introduced on 16 April 2025 and built at Subaru's Yajima plant in Ōta, Gunma from February 2026. It is based on the refreshed bZ4X and is 140 mm longer and 20 mm taller than the standard car, with standard roof rails, a single 74.7 kWh battery and a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. Compared with the Toyota it has a different front fascia and headlights; in North America it is all-wheel drive only, while in Japan it is offered in ET-SS (front-wheel drive) and ET-HS grades.

Rear passengers get a 17.3-inch screen that extends from the roof, and a lidar sensor sits in the front of the roof.

Its range-extender variant is rated for 1,200 km on a tank and charge, over three times the car's electric-only range.
