FactKyron is a made-up word meant to sound like the symbol chi plus run, meaning infinite run, though the etymology is admittedly shaky.
The SsangYong Kyron is a mid-size SUV built by SsangYong from 2005 to 2015 (production also in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan), designed by Ken Greenley with a Mercedes-Benz diesel engine and facelifted in 2007; the name is an inaccurate portmanteau of the sound of the symbol chi and "run", meant to signify "infinite run". It replaced the Musso, was succeeded by the Rexton and is related to the Roewe W5. The 270XDi diesel raised performance to 121–138 kW (162–185 hp) and 340–350 N·m (250–260 lb·ft), and both the 200XDi and 270XDi use third-generation common-rail technology with a 32-bit ECU; there was also a 3.2 (G32D) engine reaching up to 162 kW (220 hp) and a 2.3 petrol with 112 kW (150 hp) and 310 N·m, with a Mercedes-Benz 5G-Tronic automatic on all models.

Owning one
We don’t estimate running costs for a car like this. What it costs depends on its condition, its specialist and how it is driven, and an average would mislead.

IIHS only crash-tests the driver's corner; tested on the passenger side instead, the CX-5 showed far worse intrusion.

Despite launching from a standing start in late 2025, the i60 topped GAC Aion's own sales chart through January's seasonal slowdown.

Every Defender before this one was body-on-frame — this generation broke decades of tradition with an aluminium unibody structure instead.

Crashed on the passenger side instead of the driver's, the 2014 Forester showed far more intrusion and would have rated Marginal with the IIHS.
