FactThe Rafale is named after the Caudron-Renault C.460 Rafale racing monoplane of 1934.
The Renault Rafale is a mid-size coupe SUV that Renault has produced since 2024 at Palencia in Spain, codenamed DHN. Built on the CMF-CD platform, it shares about 75 percent of its parts with the Espace and Austral and sits between the Arkana and the Espace in the range. Both versions use a 1.2-litre HR12 turbocharged three-cylinder: a front-wheel-drive full hybrid and a plug-in hybrid that adds a 100 kW rear motor for all-wheel drive. The plug-in hybrid's combined output is 224 kW (300 hp). It is named after the Caudron-Renault C.460 Rafale monoplane of 1934.
