FactProton badged it S70 to mark it as C-segment, though its B-segment Geely platform would normally earn a 50 suffix.
The Proton S70 is a C-segment compact sedan built at Proton City, Tanjung Malim, since 1 November 2023, developed with Geely and related to the fourth-generation Geely Emgrand on the BMA platform. Launched on 28 November 2023 as the successor to the Prevé, it was Proton's first sedan since Geely's 2017 share acquisition. It launched with a 1.5-litre port-injected turbo three and a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox; the February 2026 MC1 update brought a 1.5-litre BHE15TD i-GT turbo four, and naturally aspirated 1.5 i-GT Lite and Prime variants with a CVT followed later in 2026.

Owning one
We don’t estimate running costs for a car like this. What it costs depends on its condition, its specialist and how it is driven, and an average would mislead.

The GS/E coupe earned the nickname "German Charger" for its long hood, short deck stance borrowed from Detroit muscle cars.

This DeVille/Fleetwood was the first production car anywhere to mount its V8 sideways, Cadillac's front-drive gamble on the new C-body.
