FactAfter three generations built on the Nissan March, Mitsuoka switched the Viewt's donor car to a Toyota Yaris for the first time.
The fourth-generation Viewt, called the Viewt Story, switches donor car for the first time — a Toyota Yaris (XP210) hatchback rather than a Nissan March — introduced February 2023, on sale from September 2023. Three powertrains: 1.0-litre petrol (10LX/10DX, discontinued May 2026), 1.5-litre petrol (15LX/15DX, offered with a 6-speed manual or CVT, and 4WD on top of FWD), and a 1.5-litre petrol-hybrid (Hybrid LX/Hybrid DX, E-Four 4WD available). Only the 1.0-litre engine gives one clean, single horsepower figure; the 1.5-litre petrol's own output is stated only as an across-grade range (118–123 hp) and is left uncited for that reason.

Owning one
We don’t estimate running costs for a car like this. What it costs depends on its condition, its specialist and how it is driven, and an average would mislead.

After three generations built on the Nissan March, Mitsuoka switched the Viewt's donor car to a Toyota Yaris for the first time.

Its 2016 Gold Premium edition, limited to 15 cars, used 0.5 g of Kanazawa gold leaf per car on the grille badge and wood panels.

New 2009 safety rules briefly halted it, so Mitsuoka kept converting 2008 Marches; it returned that October with its bumper overriders deleted.

Mitsuoka took a Nissan March and gave it the face of a 1963 Jaguar Mark 2.

It briefly served as senior sibling to Marquette, a GM companion brand cancelled after just one year.

Nissan hired former BMW engineers to help develop the 510's suspension, which is why period reviewers frequently compared its handling to the BMW 1600/2002.

A Trabant 601 won its class at the 1970 Monte Carlo Rally, with a second 601 right behind it in second.

The 600 was a stopgap: the P50's body over the 601's mechanicals, and for a while its estate was built alongside the new 601 saloon.

The G80 Sport brought a 370 PS twin-turbo 3.3 V6, a mesh grille and copper-tinted chrome with copper stitching to match.

The Vigor was sold only with a five-cylinder engine, an unusual configuration Honda used to fit a longer engine transversely under a short hood.

The GS/E coupe earned the nickname "German Charger" for its long hood, short deck stance borrowed from Detroit muscle cars.

This DeVille/Fleetwood was the first production car anywhere to mount its V8 sideways, Cadillac's front-drive gamble on the new C-body.
