FactMitsubishi gave this SUV a dedicated Wet driving mode, a first for the brand, built for Southeast Asian rain.
The Mitsubishi Xforce is a subcompact (B-segment) crossover SUV built by Mitsubishi Motors since October 2023 and sold as the Outlander Sport in the Americas, Africa and New Zealand, succeeding the ASX / Outlander Sport. It was first shown as the XFC Concept in Ho Chi Minh City on 19 October and at the 2022 Vietnam Motor Show on 26 October, and the production version was unveiled at the 30th Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show on 10 August 2023; production started at the MMKI plant in Cikarang, West Java, with the first customer cars handed over on 19 November 2023 and exports beginning on 11 February 2024. Built on the same platform as the Xpander MPV, it carries the latest evolution of the "Dynamic Shield" front, is tuned for Southeast Asian roads with a larger caster trail and quicker front-suspension ratio and bigger rear shock absorbers, has Active Yaw Control as standard and offers up to four driving modes (Normal, Wet, Gravel, Mud), Wet being a first for a Mitsubishi. It won the Good Design Award 2023 from the Japan Institute of Design Promotion and a gold award for Best Transportation Design at the VMARK Vietnam Design Award 2023. Power is a 1.5-litre 4A91 with a CVT or a 1.6-litre 4A92 hybrid; it is also built in Thailand (the HEV), Malaysia and Taiwan.

Owning one
We don’t estimate running costs for a car like this. What it costs depends on its condition, its specialist and how it is driven, and an average would mislead.

IIHS only crash-tests the driver's corner; tested on the passenger side instead, the CX-5 showed far worse intrusion.

Despite launching from a standing start in late 2025, the i60 topped GAC Aion's own sales chart through January's seasonal slowdown.

Every Defender before this one was body-on-frame — this generation broke decades of tradition with an aluminium unibody structure instead.

Crashed on the passenger side instead of the driver's, the 2014 Forester showed far more intrusion and would have rated Marginal with the IIHS.

Subaru built a 2.5XT for the National Ski Patrol with a diamond-plate floor, a 9,500-pound winch and a toboggan on the roof.

The L405 was the first Range Rover with a fully aluminum monocoque body, cutting up to 420 kg from the outgoing steel-bodied L322.

Rear passengers get a 17.3-inch screen that extends from the roof, and a lidar sensor sits in the front of the roof.

Its range-extender variant is rated for 1,200 km on a tank and charge, over three times the car's electric-only range.
