The MGS5 EV, sold in China as the MG ES5, is a battery-electric compact crossover SUV built by SAIC Motor under the MG marque since 2024, and exported to Europe and Thailand from March 2025. It replaces the electric ZS on the Modular Scalable Platform shared with the MG4 EV, with a rear motor and rear-wheel drive. The standard motor gives 125 kW with 49.1, 62.2 or 64 kWh batteries; a 180 kW version is also listed. In China it was replaced by the MG 4X in 2026, while export production continues.
