FactThe CX-70 is just the CX-90 with two rows instead of three, same bones, different bumpers and black trim.
The CX-70 is the two-row, five-seat version of the Mazda CX-90, revealed in North America on 30 January 2024 and built since 2024 for the 2025 model year at Hōfu in Japan. It shares the CX-90's dimensions and engines on the longitudinal-engine, rear-biased all-wheel-drive Large Product Group platform, differing in its bumpers, black exterior accents in place of chrome, wheels and interior colours. Engines are a turbocharged 3.3-litre inline-six mild hybrid in two outputs and a 2.5-litre plug-in hybrid, all with an eight-speed automatic that uses a wet clutch instead of a torque converter.

Despite launching from a standing start in late 2025, the i60 topped GAC Aion's own sales chart through January's seasonal slowdown.

Every Defender before this one was body-on-frame — this generation broke decades of tradition with an aluminium unibody structure instead.

Crashed on the passenger side instead of the driver's, the 2014 Forester showed far more intrusion and would have rated Marginal with the IIHS.

Subaru built a 2.5XT for the National Ski Patrol with a diamond-plate floor, a 9,500-pound winch and a toboggan on the roof.
