The Lincoln Corsair is a compact luxury crossover that replaced the MKC, debuting at the New York Auto Show on April 17, 2019 and sharing its underpinnings with the fourth-generation Ford Escape on the Ford C2 platform. It was built in Louisville, Kentucky from August 2019 until December 2025, and by Changan Ford in Chongqing, China from 2020. Engines were a turbocharged 2.0-litre four, a turbocharged 2.3-litre four (all-wheel drive only, dropped with the 2023 facelift) and a 2.5-litre plug-in hybrid Grand Touring with an electric rear motor for all-wheel drive. The 2023 facelift brought a larger grille and a 13.2-inch touchscreen with Sync 4.

Every Defender before this one was body-on-frame — this generation broke decades of tradition with an aluminium unibody structure instead.

Crashed on the passenger side instead of the driver's, the 2014 Forester showed far more intrusion and would have rated Marginal with the IIHS.
