The second-generation i10 (IA, with the Grand i10 as BA) was originally planned for release in early 2014; development started in India in 2012 using the Kia Picanto as a test mule for individual parts, and in August 2013 the redesign was revealed by Hyundai's European design team led by Thomas Bürkle. The new car was 80 mm longer, 65 mm wider and 50 mm lower than the previous model. It was a five-door hatchback and, as the Hyundai Xcent, a four-door sedan, on the Hyundai-Kia BA platform related to the Kia Picanto (TA), and was built in Izmit, Turkey, Chennai, India and at plants in Ecuador, Vietnam, Algeria, Iran and Mozambique.

Owning one
We don’t estimate running costs for a car like this. What it costs depends on its condition, its specialist and how it is driven, and an average would mislead.
