The third-generation i10 debuted in India as the Grand i10 Nios (AI3) on 7 August 2019, longer than the previous Grand i10 by 160 mm, and the European i10 (AC3) was revealed a month later, just ahead of the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2019. The European model was designed, developed and built in Europe, at Izmit, Turkey, with the roof 20 mm lower and the width 20 mm greater than before, and is powered by a 1.0-litre T-GDi petrol engine in addition to the 1.2-litre MPi. It is a five-door hatchback (and, in India, the Aura sedan) on the Hyundai-Kia BA / K1 platform, related to the Kia Picanto (JA), Hyundai Santro and Hyundai Exter. In its standard European configuration it scored 3 stars in the Euro NCAP 2020 protocol.

Indonesia got its own version of this i10: the Grand i10X, a crossover-styled trim with flared fenders and two-tone wheels nobody else in the world could buy.

To mark ten years in India, Hyundai didn't throw a party — it sent two i10s on a 10,000-km drive from Delhi to Paris in just 17 days, then parked them at the Paris Motor Show.
