The N-WGN was first announced on 26 September 2013 and went on sale on 22 November 2013, with an innovative sliding feature that allows the rear seat to be positioned longitudinally, letting users allocate more space for luggage or passengers; both engines feature idling-stop. The initial range consisted of the standard N-WGN G model, also available with the Anshin Package or the Turbo Package, and the sportier N-WGN Custom lineup mirrored the regular line. Production ran from November 2013 to July 2019.
