FactThe Haval Jolion sounds aspirational in English, but it's a literal translation: its Chinese market name "Chulian" means "first love."
The Haval Jolion, first shown at the 2020 Beijing Auto Show as the H2's successor, is a compact crossover on the L.E.M.O.N. platform shared with the Haval Big Dog; sold in China for only a year (2021) before becoming export-only. Named from its Chinese market name 'Chulian' ('first love'), its interior has a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch instrument display and a head-up display. Originally a 1.5-litre turbo four made 110 kW (150 hp, 150 PS) and 160 lb-ft; the 2024 facelift retuned it to 105 kW (141 hp, 143 PS) and 150 lb-ft, with a hybrid (HEV) variant using a 115 kW (156 PS) BorgWarner DHT115 motor. Front engine, front-wheel drive; wheelbase 2,700 mm (106.3 in), length 4,472 mm (176.1 in), width 1,841 mm (72.5 in), height 1,619 mm (63.7 in), curb weight 1,345-1,370 kg (2,965-3,020 lb).

Owning one
We don’t estimate running costs for a car like this. What it costs depends on its condition, its specialist and how it is driven, and an average would mislead.

IIHS only crash-tests the driver's corner; tested on the passenger side instead, the CX-5 showed far worse intrusion.

Despite launching from a standing start in late 2025, the i60 topped GAC Aion's own sales chart through January's seasonal slowdown.

Every Defender before this one was body-on-frame — this generation broke decades of tradition with an aluminium unibody structure instead.

Crashed on the passenger side instead of the driver's, the 2014 Forester showed far more intrusion and would have rated Marginal with the IIHS.

Subaru built a 2.5XT for the National Ski Patrol with a diamond-plate floor, a 9,500-pound winch and a toboggan on the roof.

The L405 was the first Range Rover with a fully aluminum monocoque body, cutting up to 420 kg from the outgoing steel-bodied L322.

Rear passengers get a 17.3-inch screen that extends from the roof, and a lidar sensor sits in the front of the roof.

Its range-extender variant is rated for 1,200 km on a tank and charge, over three times the car's electric-only range.
