FactThe GV70 is built in Alabama for the US market, but only until the 2027 model year ends that arrangement.
The GV70, internally codenamed JK1, is a compact luxury crossover and the second Genesis SUV after the GV80, launched globally on 8 December 2020. It is built in Ulsan and, for North America until the 2027 model year, at Hyundai's plant in Montgomery, Alabama. It rides on the rear-wheel-drive M3 platform with a 2.5-litre turbo four, a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 and (outside the US) a 2.2-litre diesel. The Electrified GV70 adds a dual-motor battery electric version with a 77.4 or 84 kWh battery.
