The FPV BF GT, introduced in 2005, added four-piston front and single-piston rear Brembo calipers (six-piston front and four-piston rear on the GT-P); a black-with-gold-stripe '40th Anniversary' edition followed in April 2007. The 2008 GT 'Cobra' (also called Cobra R-Spec), white with blue stripes, used a 5.4-litre Boss 302 V8 making 302 kW (405 hp) and 398 lb-ft; 400 GT Cobras were built (plus 100 Cobra Utes on the Super Pursuit).
