The Exeed Yaoguang is a mid-size crossover SUV from Chery's Exeed brand on the M3X platform, sold for export as the Exeed RX and in Africa, Asia and Europe as the Omoda C9 or Omoda 9. Previewed by the Stellar concept in 2021, it went into production in 2022 and the final production car was launched in February 2023. It has a 2.0-litre turbo four with a seven-speed wet dual-clutch and front- or four-wheel drive; the later C-DM plug-in hybrid uses a 1.5-litre turbo, three motors and a three-speed DHT, with a 19.43 or 34.46 kWh CATL battery. The Omoda 9 plug-in hybrid went on sale in the UK in April 2025 and in Australia in July 2025.

Owning one
We don’t estimate running costs for a car like this. What it costs depends on its condition, its specialist and how it is driven, and an average would mislead.
