FactA 25% import tariff killed the Hornet after 2025, a car built in Italy alongside the Alfa Romeo it was based on.
The Dodge Hornet is a compact crossover SUV sold only in North America for the 2023 to 2025 model years, a restyled, cheaper version of the Alfa Romeo Tonale built alongside it at Pomigliano d'Arco, Italy from August 2022 to January 2026. It was Dodge's first all-new model in over a decade and its first plug-in hybrid, and came only with all-wheel drive. The GT had a turbocharged 2.0-litre four of 268 hp with a nine-speed automatic; the R/T plug-in hybrid paired a 1.3-litre four with two electric motors and a six-speed automatic for 288 hp. Slow sales and a 25% tariff on imports ended it after the 2025 model year.

Owning one
An estimate, for the AWD trim: fuel on its EPA figure and a dated national price, upkeep on a per-mile average for the kind of car it is.

IIHS only crash-tests the driver's corner; tested on the passenger side instead, the CX-5 showed far worse intrusion.

Despite launching from a standing start in late 2025, the i60 topped GAC Aion's own sales chart through January's seasonal slowdown.

Every Defender before this one was body-on-frame — this generation broke decades of tradition with an aluminium unibody structure instead.

Crashed on the passenger side instead of the driver's, the 2014 Forester showed far more intrusion and would have rated Marginal with the IIHS.
