FactThis Dart's K-member was redesigned specifically so a 383 big-block would fit into a compact car's engine bay.
The A-body Dart redesigned for 1967 alongside its sister, the Plymouth Valiant, with new styling and redesigned K-members able to take larger engines. It kept that basic form until the end of A-body production in 1976 in North America and 1981 in South America. The performance-oriented GTS came standard with the 340 cu in V8, with a 300 hp 383 big-block optional.
