FactA 2009 CTS-V lapped the Nürburgring in 7:59.32, the fastest documented production sedan on factory tyres until a Panamera Turbo beat it.
The second-generation CTS-V, on GM's Sigma II platform, used a supercharged 6.2-litre LSA pushrod V8 based on the LS9, producing 556 hp and 551 lb-ft, with a six-speed manual or automatic, MagneRide dampers and Brembo brakes with six-piston front calipers. A CTS-V Coupe followed as a 2011 model and a CTS-V Sport Wagon was shown in 2010, both with the same engine. GM quoted 0–60 mph in 3.9 seconds for the sedan and 4.0 for the coupe and wagon. The sedan and wagon were sold through 2014 and the coupe through the 2015 model year.

The 600 was a stopgap: the P50's body over the 601's mechanicals, and for a while its estate was built alongside the new 601 saloon.

The G80 Sport brought a 370 PS twin-turbo 3.3 V6, a mesh grille and copper-tinted chrome with copper stitching to match.
